About SoulShare Grief Support
Our Mission
SoulShare strives to offer a caring Christian peer-to-peer community supporting adults and children through numerous types of grief, including (but not limited to) death, divorce, incarceration, and deployment.
How We Help
Soulshare is not therapy, nor does it intend to replace professional services. What it is, is a curriculum driven help for emotional needs common in grief.
Among the most powerful tools available, is being with other people who find themselves in similar circumstance.
From 'cope' to 'hope'
Soulshare sessions not only offer ideas about healing, but provide practical tips for managing various elements of grief. We offer a variety of coping skills and ways of expression to help people of all backgrounds and ages work through their grief.

Food for thought
Two elements are key to the success of SoulShare:
Each week, we begin with a shared meal , which provides an atmosphere of friendship that encourages the sharing of thoughts and emotions.
A priority of the SoulShare program is confidentiality. Vulnerability to open up in groups only comes when we are confident that what we say stays in the room. this is equally important for staff an volunteers as it is for other participants.

What is the structure of the program?
SoulShare follows the schoolyear. There are 11 sessions in each 'semester': 10 normal sessions followed by a group/family exercise to celebrate. The spring session is not a repeat of the fall.
Do I have to start at the beginning of a session?
You are welcome to join as soon as you feel comfortable. grief is not a formula, and it follows no set schedule.
What happens when I finish?
You are welcome to come back as often as you like. Grief is unpredictable journey. Some people feel worse a year or two later than they did in the immediate aftermath of their loss.
Can I come if I don't have children?
Grief is not isolated to families. Soulshare is here to help grieving individuals in any circumstance of life.
What if I'm not religious?
You do not have to belong to any faith to receive the benefits of SoulShare. There will be no expectation of religious commitment, and none of the curriculum is directed towards producing that result. All bible themes discussed directly relate to a grief topic.
If you have any other questions, see the contact information below.
What does it cost?
No part of SoulShare costs money. We are a non-profit organization and exclusively rely on donations and grants to fund meals, crafts, and administrative costs.
